Case Study: Grace Tame Foundation
Helping One of Australia’s Most Impactful Foundations Enter a New Chapter
The Challenge:
The Grace Tame Foundation, founded by the renowned advocate Grace Tame, has become a household name in Australia. Since its inception, the Foundation has spearheaded national legal reforms, educated thousands of Australians, and provided crucial support to survivors of child sexual assault.
After three transformative years, it was time for The Grace Tame Foundation to refresh its strategy. Purpose Made was engaged to lead a comprehensive process involving the core team, board members, and key stakeholders. The goal was to reflect on the Foundation’s achievements, assess its impact, and chart a course for the next five years.
The Process:
Purpose Made employed a multifaceted approach, combining workshops, one-on-one interviews, and design processes to capture a strategic narrative, including a Theory of Change. Following this, a five-year strategy was developed, which identified key strategic pillars, a new people and financial model, and plans for launching a new impact service.
The Outcome:
While more details will be shared in the future, the new strategy has already empowered the core team and board to begin implementing the plan. This strategic refresh is a significant step towards advancing the Foundation’s mission of creating a future free from the sexual abuse of children and others.
